Wallace is a rescued American Pit Bull Terrier. He was found as a stray and turned into the Humane Society. Wallace was a very energetic dog, so it was no surprise that he did not do well in the kennel environment. He had received no training for the first year of his life. He wasn’t an angel by any means, but what do you expect from an off-the-chart working dog that was bored out of his mind. He was sentenced to euthanization. This just shows the amount of misunderstanding there is regarding this breed among the people. Wallace’s owner and his wife with help of other good people were able to pull him out before he was put down. Since being rescued Wallace has surpassed any expectations anyone could have imagined. His owner’s mission now is to use Wallace’s story to inspire and educate people about the truth regarding Pit Bulls. Wallace was a Champion of a lot of Flying Disc Regional and National Championships. He has appeared in the magazines Bully Breeds, The Bark Magazine, Fully Bully, Rochester Magazine, St Mary’s University Magazine. He’s also appeared on ABC, ESPN2, Animal Planet, local ABC and NBC news media. Unfortunately, Wallace passed away a year after his diagnosis on 8/23/2013. His story will live long with the book “Wallace” written by Jim Gorant.
