In 1940 Henry Ford said: “Mark my word: a combination airplane and motorcar is coming. You may smile, but it will come.” Today AeroMobil 3.0 is being introduced to the public. It is the third and most convenient prototype created by Slovak designers. It can fit into any standard car parking space, uses regular gasoline, it can also take off and land on a grass or pavement strip only a few hundred meters long. AeroMobil 3.0 has some considerable improvements from the earlier model 2.5, like the angle of the wings that significantly shortens the take-off, and sturdy suspension that allows to take-off and land even on moderately rough terrain. As a car AeroMobil 3.0 can drive as fast as 160 km/h (100 mph), and as a plane it can reach the speed 200 km/h (124 mph). The company will start taking orders and producing this car in 2016. The price is expected to be a few hundred thousand euros, comparable to luxury cars or light sports aircraft.
