Personally, I think the statue man put the boy in his place. But it’s only my opinion. Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in South London in 1990s. It became established as the name of the genre in 2002. Dubstep is generally instrumental with commonly dark lyrics or felling. Tracks are usually done in a minor key and can feature dissonant harmonies. With time some more rhytms and genres were combined in dubstep tracks. Reggae, pop, orchestral music and even heavy metal can be heard in nowadays dubstep. The influence of dubstep on more commercial and popular genres dates 2007. Britney Spears was one of the first well-known stars to use a dubstep piece in her song “Freakshow”. Dubstep kept gaining popularity all around the world. In the 2011 Britney Spears’ track “Hold It Against Me” and Rihanna’s Rated R album, containing three dubstep tracks influenced a big spike of the genre in the US. And then Skrillex came along. He is an american electronic dance music producer, DJ, and singer-songwriter, who has won an MTV Video Music Award and a total of six Grammy Awards.
